At the heart of the house is a generous open plan living, dining, and kitchen space where daily life naturally unfolds. Floor to ceiling bi fold doors open directly onto the garden, allowing the outside to become part of the experience. Mornings begin with coffee brewed from fresh beans and soft light filtering in across the countryside. Evenings draw everyone together around the dining table or beside the log burner, sharing food, conversation, and the simple pleasure of being together.

The kitchen is both beautiful and practical, equipped for anything from relaxed family meals to catered dinners and celebratory feasts. Thoughtful details, including a wine cellar and high quality appliances, make entertaining feel effortless, whether cooking together or welcoming a private chef.

Verdant Rise sleeps up to ten guests across five thoughtfully designed bedrooms, with flexibility for up to twelve when sofa beds are used. Each room has been created as a restful retreat, with calm tones, comfortable beds, and quiet surroundings. The principal suite feels particularly indulgent, offering a spa style ensuite, walk in wardrobe, and a private nook for work or reading, allowing guests to retreat without ever feeling removed from the rhythm of the house.

Outside, the garden becomes an extension of the living space. There is room to practise yoga on the lawn, soak in the hot tub beneath open skies, or gather for long meals cooked in the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed late into the evening. A dedicated games and cinema room adds another layer to the experience, offering space for movie nights, music, and relaxed entertainment whatever the weather.

The setting is ideal for exploring. Walking and cycling routes begin at the doorstep, while the South Downs National Park, nearby vineyards, farm shops, and country pubs are all within easy reach. Brighton’s seafront, cultural life, and restaurants offer a contrasting pace just a short drive away, with London accessible in under an hour by train.
