Amenities
Living Spaces
At the heart of Skyfall lies an expansive open-plan living space, framed by wide glass bifold doors that open to uninterrupted views of the meadow, the River Esk and the surrounding fells. Light floods in throughout the day, shifting gently with the landscape. A double-sided log burner anchors the room, bringing warmth and atmosphere to both the lounge and dining areas. Soft textures, natural materials and calm Scandinavian tones create an interior that feels both grounded and refined. Beyond the main living space, a cosy library snug offers a quieter retreat, perfect for reading or evening drinks. The private cinema room invites indulgent film nights, while the tranquil Zen Den garden room provides a serene space for yoga, Pilates or quiet reflection. In the adjacent Coach House, a private lounge with its own log burner creates an intimate hideaway within the estate.
Bedrooms & Laundry
Skyfall sleeps up to sixteen guests across eight beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms. Seven rooms offer super king beds that can be arranged as twins, making the house as suited to families as it is to groups of friends. One playful bunk room features adult-sized built-in bunks with its own ensuite, equally comfortable for children or grown-ups. Two bathrooms feature statement free-standing baths, one crafted in copper, the other in black, both designed for long, restorative soaks after a day on the fells. The Coach House provides a fully self-contained retreat with two deluxe super king bedrooms, a private kitchen and living area, ideal for couples, grandparents or those seeking additional privacy. Practical comforts are thoughtfully considered, from a dedicated laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer to an Alpine-style boot room with heated boot warmers. Secure storage for up to fourteen bikes and dedicated washing facilities make Skyfall especially welcoming for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is designed for convivial gatherings and relaxed entertaining. Two Neff ovens, induction hobs, dishwashers and generous refrigeration ensure that catering for sixteen feels effortless. A large dining table seats the entire group comfortably, positioned to make the most of the surrounding views. Whether preparing a celebratory feast, arranging a private chef experience, or enjoying a simple breakfast before a day outdoors, the space is both practical and inviting. Outside, the courtyard garden and BBQ area create a natural extension of the dining space, perfect for long summer evenings.
Bathrooms
Each of the eight bedrooms benefits from its own ensuite, finished with walk-in showers and refined detailing. The two free-standing baths provide moments of indulgence, while soft towels and luxury toiletries complete the experience. A ground floor WC in the Coach House adds further convenience and accessibility.
Entertainment
Relaxation at Skyfall comes easily. Two outdoor hot tubs are positioned to take in the surrounding landscape, ideal for unwinding beneath open skies. The cinema room, Smart TVs with Sky and TNT Sport, and a Bluetooth sound system throughout the main living areas offer modern entertainment. The Zen Den doubles as a games room with table tennis, while board games and the snug library provide quieter pleasures. Evenings can end around the fire pit, with the sounds of the river in the background.
Heating & Cooling
Central heating keeps the house warm year-round, complemented by the atmospheric double-sided log burner in the main living space. The heated boot warmers in the Alpine-style boot room are especially welcome after wet walks or winter hikes.
Internet & Office
High-speed WiFi runs throughout the property, making remote working entirely possible, though the views may prove a distraction. Self check-in and check-out ensure seamless arrivals and departures.
