Set among ancient olive trees and scented gardens just beyond Marrakech, Villa Alkhozama, meaning lavender in Arabic, is an intimate architectural retreat where contemporary design and Moroccan craftsmanship exist in quiet harmony.

Conceived by acclaimed Moroccan architect Karim el Achak of Agence Architecture Associati, the villa balances clean modern lines with traditional materials and rich, expressive colour. Bespoke furniture and lighting curated by Philip Hooper of Colefax and Fowler add an additional layer of understated refinement.

Designed across descending levels, the house flows gently from its entrance down to a secluded lower terrace where a twelve metre swimming pool glimmers against the greenery. A generous daybed and carefully positioned loungers frame the water, creating a private setting for unhurried afternoons and soft Moroccan sunsets.

Inside, the living spaces are both elegant and atmospheric. A sitting room with fireplace invites cooler evening gatherings, while the dining room, crowned by a domed ceiling and a vintage Moroccan lantern sourced from the souks, offers a memorable setting for candlelit dinners. A shaded outdoor dining area provides an alternative setting beneath open skies.

The villa accommodates four guests across two beautifully appointed double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, underfloor heating and air conditioning.

The master suite opens directly onto the terrace and pool, where a luxurious daybed rests just beyond the doors. The second bedroom enjoys its own covered terrace with seating area and writing desk, offering a quiet corner for reflection.

Guests benefit from a 12 metre private swimming pool, WiFi throughout, and access to the estate spa shared with Villa Azzaytouna, including a traditional hammam and treatment room. Unlimited treatments using Les Sens de Marrakech products and pure Moroccan argan oil are included and may be enjoyed in the spa, on the terrace, or beside the pool. A screening area with integrated music system and a 350 metre jogging track through the gardens further enhance the experience.

Dining is curated daily by the estate’s culinary team, with menus selected in consultation with guests and inspired by both Moroccan and European cuisine. The lead guest meets with the chef and estate manager to tailor each stay. Children’s menus are available and dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Supported by a permanent team of 24 staff across the estate, including two full-time beauty therapists, service is discreet, attentive, and entirely seamless. The estate manager remains your dedicated point of contact, arranging private guides, cultural experiences, and bespoke itineraries in and around Marrakech.

Villa Alkhozama may be rented independently for an intimate escape, or combined with neighbouring villas across the estate to host larger gatherings of up to 29 guests.

Home Policies

Villa Alkhozama is offered on an exclusive-use basis, ensuring complete privacy for up to four guests. A minimum non-refundable booking fee is required to secure the dates, with the remaining balance payable in accordance with The Grand Key booking terms.

Peak season rates apply during April, May, June, October, November and December. Alternative pricing for off-peak months or extended stays is available upon request.

The rate includes sole use of the villa and its facilities, unlimited spa treatments at the shared estate spa, all meals selected from the à la carte menus, soft drinks, laundry service, pool heating where required, a guided and accompanied visit to the Medina, and one return airport transfer regardless of guest numbers.

As per The Grand Key standards, a security deposit or pre-authorisation may be required prior to arrival to cover incidental damages. Where external event planners, suppliers, or production teams are engaged for a special occasion, an additional estate event fee will apply and prior approval must be obtained.

One return airport transfer is included within the rate. The villa forms part of a fully staffed private estate and is to be treated with appropriate care and discretion.

Guest numbers must not exceed the agreed occupancy unless authorised in advance.

The kitchen is not a nut-free environment, though dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.

Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only.

Events, amplified music, or additional suppliers must be agreed prior to booking.

Children are welcome, though supervision is required at all times around the swimming pool and terraces.
